It’s been a while since we’ve taken a road trip so today we decided to drive a couple of hours down the highway to Twin Falls, Idaho. I took a quick trip there back in May, but the girls were in Thailand and missed out. I thought the girls would enjoy seeing Shoshone Falls and we needed a good excuse to get out of the house.
We didn’t hit the highway until almost noon and arrived in Twin Falls around 2:00pm. After a quick lunch at Chick-Fil-A we drove down to the bottom of the canyon below the Perrine Bridge. There’s a public golf course called Canyon Springs in the canyone and Rotchana wanted to go play, but believe it or not, I passed so we’d have time to see Shoshone Falls since that was our goal for the road trip.
Another 10 minutes drive later we arrived at the Shoshone Falls. The water levels seemed to be about the same as May last year. Rotchana was pretty excited to see how large the falls were and took every opportunity to take a selfie. Victoria was just as excited and ran up and down the trails to the various viewing areas.
We stayed about an hour or so taking photos and walking around before starting the drive back home. The girls enjoyed it and have asked to come back, but they want to come earlier in the day so we can play at the golf course, too. They won’t have to ask me twice!
