Oregon Road Trip

Last weekend we made a quick road trip out to Beaverton, Oregon. Rotchana has been craving noodles from Thai Noodles, Etc. for quite some time so we finally made a trip out. She also wanted to shop at an Asian Market that sells a particular brand of sweet rice that she hasn’t found out here in Idaho.

We drove out to Beaverton Sunday morning with a quick stop at the Maryhill Stonehenge on the Washington side of the Columbia River along the Gorge. It’s a WWI memorial that sits out on a bluff overlooking the river valley below. It’s a unique stop that not many people know about.

After stopping at some outlets for a quick shopping spree we made it into Beaverton around 4:00pm and went straight to the restaurant for dinner. Rotchana finally got her noodles and said the drive was worth it. We then went straight to the hotel for the night to get some rest.

The next morning we went to the Asian Market and picked up the rice and some other supplies. After another quick stop at Thai Noodles, Etc. to pick up noodles to go we headed out of town.

We took our time driving home stopping at Vista House up at Crown Point, Multnomah Falls and a State Park just a little further down the highway for a small walk. Rotchana was hoping to find some mushrooms, but it’s still a little early for them to be growing.

We made it back home around 9:30pm Monday night. Victoria had school the next day and I had to go to work so not much time to rest.
